1. Preheat the Oven

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it's ready when you need to bake the stuffed peppers.

2. Prepare the peppers

Wash the bell peppers thoroughly under cold water. Slice off the tops of the peppers and remove the seeds and membranes from inside. This creates a cavity to stuff the peppers with the turkey mixture.

3. Cook the turkey

In a skillet over medium heat, add a small amount of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the ground turkey and cook it until it's no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.

4. Season the turkey

Season the cooked ground turkey with your preferred seasonings. Common choices include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.

5. Add vegetables

To enhance flavor and nutrition, add diced onions, garlic, and any other vegetables you like such as diced tomatoes or spinach. Sauté them with the turkey until they are softened.

6. Mix in rice or quinoa

7. Stuff the peppers

Spoon the turkey mixture into the hollowed-out peppers, filling them to the top. Press down gently to pack the filling.

8. Bake

Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover them with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the peppers are tender. Optionally, you can remove the foil during the last 10 minutes of baking to allow the tops to brown slightly.
