Brown beef, onion, garlic. Add tomatoes, sauce, basil, oregano, seasoning. Simmer with noodles. Top with cheeses. Garnish, serve.
In a large skillet or frying pan, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into smaller pieces as it cooks.
Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked meat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onions are translucent and fragrant.
Pour in the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce into the skillet. Stir well to combine with the meat mixture. Add dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
Add the broken lasagna noodles directly into the skillet with the sauce. Stir to ensure the noodles are coated with the sauce and distributed evenly throughout the skillet.
Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet with a lid, and let the lasagna simmer for about 20-25 minutes, or until the noodles are tender, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Once the noodles are cooked through, dollop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese evenly over the top of the skillet. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the ricotta.
Cover the skillet again and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious skillet lasagna
