Finely chop the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Measure out the breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, and oregano. If you're adding any toppings, prepare them as well.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to gently mix everything together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the burgers tough.
Divide the turkey mixture into four equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Make sure the patties are evenly shaped and compact, so they hold together well during cooking.
Preheat your grill or a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. If you're using a grill, make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
Place the turkey patties on the preheated grill or skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the burgers are cooked through and nicely browned on the outside. You can use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the hamburger buns if desired. Simply place them on the grill or in a toaster for a minute or two until lightly golden brown.
Once the turkey burgers are cooked, remove them from the grill or skillet and let them rest for a minute. Then, place each burger on a toasted bun and add your desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese, or any other favorites.
Serve the turkey burgers immediately while they're still warm. Enjoy the juicy, flavorful burgers with your favorite side dishes or salad.
