With over 4 million followers on TikTok and just recently announcing the news of a Grammy award, her style is a blend of classical and contemporary fashion. 

On a cold, Monday night in 2024, she's performing in the basement of a Glasgow warehouse and her voice casts an enchanting spell on the crowd and reminiscent of scenes from the 1920s-era jazz bar. 

At 24, the Icelandic-Chinese musician blends her love of Chopin as well as Liszt along with soulful sounds that are Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald along with pop influences such as Taylor Swift.

After having graduated in Berklee College of Music, she is now on an all-sold-out European tour. She has proven that getting tickets to her performances is an achievement on its own. 

The appeal of Laufey's isn't limited to her music talent. She has a book club on Instagram and is active on TikTok trends, interacting with her fans on a variety of levels.
