Baked Honey Mustard Chicken Tenders Recipe

1. Preheat the Oven 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it's hot enough to bake the chicken tenders.

2. Prepare the Honey Mustard Sauce 

In a small bowl, mix together honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Adjust the amounts according to your taste preferences. This will be your marinade for the chicken tenders.

3. Marinate the Chicken 

Place the chicken tenders in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the honey mustard sauce over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15-30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

4. Prepare the Breadcrumb Coating  

If you're using breadcrumbs for added crunch, you can mix them with a bit of olive oil and seasoning in a separate bowl.

5. Coat the Chicken  

If you're using breadcrumbs, take each marinated chicken tender and coat it evenly with the breadcrumb mixture. If you prefer not to use breadcrumbs, you can skip this step.

6. Arrange on Baking Sheet 

Place the coated chicken tenders on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Make sure to leave some space between each piece to ensure even cooking.

7. Bake in the Oven 

Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake the chicken tenders for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown on the outside. You can also flip them halfway through cooking for even browning.

8. Serve and Enjoy 

Once the chicken tenders are cooked, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a side salad or roasted vegetables. Enjoy your delicious baked honey mustard chicken tenders!
