3. Sear the Pork

Heat a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add a bit of oil and sear the pork on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. This step helps to seal in the juices and adds flavor.

4. Add Aromatics

Once the pork is browned, remove it from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and minced garlic. Sauté until onions are soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

5. Slow Cook the Pork

Return the pork to the skillet on top of the onions and garlic. Pour the BBQ sauce over the pork, ensuring it's coated evenly. Cover the skillet or Dutch oven with a lid or aluminum foil.

6. Cook in the Oven

Place the skillet or Dutch oven in the preheated oven and cook for 3-4 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork. You can also use a slow cooker for this step if you prefer.

7. Shred the Pork

Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the oven and shred it using two forks. Mix the shredded pork with the BBQ sauce and onions from the skillet until well combined.
